Nicole Carroll: A one woman mission to make a name in football

Blackburn – Birmingham Preview

Following a disappointing loss at the weekend, Blues will be looking at picking up the points tonight at Ewood park.

Could he be Blues goalscoring hero tonight?

Blues succumbed very early to two goals, but played fantastically well and probably should have taken something from the game.

Tonight is another difficult test for Blues, facing a Blackburn side who haven’t lost infront of their own fans in the past 6 matches. They held Chelsea to a fantastic draw at the weekend, seriously denting their title hopes, and strengthing their own hopes of a decent finish. Blackburn currently lie 12th in the table, and have one eye on a top ten finish. Their run of form is fairly similar to our own, with 7 points from their last 6 matches.

Blues have an even bigger task at the weekend when they welcome Arsenal to St. Andrews. Getting something from tonights game gives the lads a bit of confidence looking towards the weekend. The ultimate motivation now must be to finish as high as possible to put the icing on a fantastic season, a win tonight would see us leapfrog Everton back into 8th place, and within breathing distance of our local rivals. After beating them at home back in October, it would be great to do the double over them tonight.

Will Chucho start a run of goalscoring off tonight? Lets hope so.
